Moving Supplies: Cushion Foam

Cushion foam is used to help protect fragile items during moving. Shock, vibration and damage are controlled by the cushioning effect and chances of product damage are reduced. It is easy to use and perforated for easy tearing. Cushion foam is used to wrap glasses, plates, crockery, lamps, electronics and other breakable items.

When using cushion foam, you have to slip each square piece between the plates and stack them together. It is also good for figurines and curio items. Cushion foam is spongy and pliable. It is not very expensive and has proven to be a necessary item for packing fragile items. Cushion foam comes in various sizes to facilitate usage and packing the different items. They are compact and lint free and come in individual foam packs, pouches or rolls. Cushion foam has higher puncture resistance, good elongation and great tensile strength.

Cushion foam measurements are generally 40”x12”x3/32” or 20”x12”x3/32” and are perforated every 12 inches. There are different categories for using cushion foam and different reasons for using it:
